By completing its planned tactical wheeled vehicle strategy, the Department of Defense can determine capabilities for the Joint Tactical Vehicle as well as analyzing various costs and conducting a cost-benefit analysis to avoid duplication or overlap. At the end of 2017, GAO reported that it had taken sufficient actions to satisfy this goal.

Waste and inefficiency within the Pentagon not only contributes to our nation’s debt and deficit, it also diminishes the effectiveness of our nation’s armed forces."
